The flax kete & bands are woven by Ngapuhi Maori local to the Far North of New Zealand, using traditional techniques, whereby objects woven for everyday use are symbolic of tribal memories and spiritual values: a kete or basket represents a vessel for wisdom and knowledge passed down from the gods.

The gifts combine sumptuous karikari extra virgin olive oil with our other gourmet products, shell shaped dipping dishes  and  traditional  Maori  flax weaving.  Each gift comes with a karikari gift card and/or an attractive information card, and if desired, can be stunningly presented in a made-in-NZ gift box that feels as good as it looks.

The  dipping dishes are shaped like New Zealand’s famous seashells and are handmade and hand-painted in New Zealand
