arikari’s range of complementary products is deliberately limited. Our products are all sensational in their own right. They are all personally made by our chef with care and absolute attention to detail using fresh in-season Northland produce. The tamarillo vinegar is stunning with a wide range of foods from salads to fruit (particularly tamarillos and berries), both white and red meats, and cheeses. It reduces to make a beautiful sauce and is great as a cordial or a glaze. Karikari horopito & lime infused olive oil was new last season, and we are thrilled with how it has turned out. and enhances the naturally peppery finish of our olive oil. Again it’s great with a wide range of foods, and in particular fish, salads and pasta. Karikari high tide dukkah is pure luxury, NZ-style. It is a traditional Egyptian recipe, dry roasted and enhanced with an equal portion of Northland macadamia nuts and harakeke (NZ flax) seeds. Its great as a dip with oil, but also sprinkled over vegetables, breads, salads and soup. Karikari tamarillo paste combines all of the gorgeous flavours of our tamarillo vinegar with cardamom and spices. It adds interest as a substitute for tomato paste, and is particularly yum with egg dishes and cheese. |
